Tipografía en diseño web

Muchos profesionales concuerdan en que la elección de una tipografía para un diseño web, es una de las decisiones más espinosas del proyecto. Estás diseñando una web y buscas el equilibrio entre la legibilidad de tu fuente y su belleza, pero no corras demasiado y ten en cuenta estos consejos:

Lee atentamente tu texto, pues te ayudará a detectar a tiempo problemas entre espaciado de palabras, de lineas, de tamaños o de colores.
Llena de Loren Ipsum los espacios pensados para texto y comprueba la harmonía de tu composición.
Normalmente, no está recomendado el uso de más de dos tipografías en una web.
Jerarquía: Diferencia bien tus encabezados (h1, h2, h3, h4, h5, h6), párrafos, citas y demás. No uses demasiados colores ni cambios en las tipografías.
Uso ordenado de Macro-Micro: Cuando mezcles palabras en macro y micro-tipografías, asegúrate de que guardan una harmonía entre sí y con el resto de tu web
Alinee el texto hacia la izquierda, ya que lo natural siempre es lo más cómodo para el lector
Las fuentes Sans Serif son casi siempre la mejor opción por su legibilidad
No introduzcas en tu web un texto en formato de imagen excepto el logotipo
Sobre el tamaño, las fuentes grandes siempre son más legibles
Cuidado con los colores de fondo e imágenes. Haz que tu texto resalte siempre

Once upon a time, I turned pages for Jamie when he performed the Kreutzer Sonata at a studio class. This was before I played it myself, so I was unfamiliar with the theme & variations movement. There's one particular variation which is 2 straight pages of 16th notes, and 2 repeats. I made the mistake of glancing away from the page for a second, and discovered to my horror when I looked back that I couldn't remember a) where we were, and b) whether we had done the repeats. I ended up half-standing & hovering for what seemed like an eternity, with Jamie kindly giving me subtle no shakes and finally a clear yes nod.Then there was the time that I turned for a friend playing in a vocal recital @ Scotiafest. He asked me at the last minute as a favour, so I accepted, forgetting that I was battling the remnants of a nasty cough. There's nothing like being on stage and NOT BEING ALLOWED TO COUGH that will make you want to cough up a lung. I managed to get through the entire thing without once coughing during a piece, but then had a friend in the audience comment on the odd expression on my face at various times.

Been looking oraund this morning for mega drop down examples and scripts. I've found quite a few and all of them have been functional until I visited your site. I clicked to view the demo and see the page but the drop down does not appear on mouseover or on mouse click. I'm using IE8 on Windows Vista. As I said, I've viewed many other examples (dozens) of mega drop down menus this morning and all of worked except yours. Thought you'd like to know.
